About the Company

Our client is a growing company that has recently expanded with a guesthouse in Paarl as well as a guesthouse and villa in Springbok. Their facilities include 22 hotel rooms, 8 semi self-catering units, 4 fully furnished self-catering houses, a restaurant that can seat up to 80 guests, a bar, and 3 conference/function venues accommodating up to 150 guests. The team currently consists of approximately 50 staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Full management of the property, staff, and daily operations – as if you were the owner yourself.

• Compile weekly management reports and implement operational systems.

• Recruitment, training, and performance management of staff based on a “High Trust, High Performance” model.

• Handling of all staff contracts and employment documentation.

• Ensure a consistently excellent guest experience – the guest is always the highest priority.

• Maintain a culture of friendliness and cleanliness.

• Actively contribute to the business’s growth in Springbok while the owner shifts focus to Paarl.

Requirements

• Matric certificate and any formal proof of training in hospitality management.

• 5 – 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.

• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, email, operational systems).

• Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and team management abilities.

• Willingness to work long and irregular hours.

• Ability to take initiative, act responsibly, and work independently.

Hoofverantwoordelikhede

• Volledige bestuur van perseel, personeel en daaglikse bedrywighede – soos die eienaar self sou doen.

• Weeklikse bestuursverslae en implementering van bestuursisteme.

• Keuring, opleiding en prestasiebestuur van personeel op ’n “High Trust, High Performance” skaal.

• Hantering van alle personeelkontrakte.

• Verseker dat kliënte-ervaring uitstaande bly – die gas is altyd ons hoogste prioriteit.

• Handhawing van ’n kultuur van vriendelikheid en netheid.

• Aktiewe betrokkenheid by besigheidsgroei in Springbok, terwyl die eienaar op Paarl fokus.

Vereistes

• Matriek en enige bewys van opleiding in gasvryheidsbestuur.

• 5 – 10 jaar ondervinding in ’n bestuursposisie in die gasvryheidbedryf.

• Uitstekende rekenaarvaardighede (MS Office, e-pos, stelsels).

• Sterk menseverhoudings, leierskap en spanbestuurvaardighede.

• Moet bereid wees om ongereelde en lang ure te werk.

• Moet die vermoë hê om proaktief, verantwoordelik en onafhanklik op te tree.
