Back of House Kitchen Manager
This role is with a leading restaurant in Centurion, Pretoria, known for its quality dishes, professional service, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
As a Back of House Kitchen Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations, leading the team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. The client is looking for a passionate, hands-on leader who can make an immediate impact.
📍 Location: Centurion, Pretoria
💰 Salary: R12 000 – R25 000 per month
🕒 Working Hours: 45 hours per week | 6 days per week

🔑 Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the back-of-house kitchen team, ensuring discipline and respect.
Supervise preparation of hot and cold food.
Manage the kitchen team and be willing to assist at the front of house when needed.
Handle, process, and count stock; monitor and control stock losses.
Maintain administration and ensure everything is always up to date.
Ensure recipes and food preparation are done according to standards.
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient.
✅ Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar management role in a restaurant back of house.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to earn team respect.
Hands-on experience with hot and cold food.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Pilot-POS) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong email communication skills.

🔑 Verantwoordelikhede:
Lei en bestuur die agterhuis-kombuispan en bou respek en dissipline.
Toesig oor voorbereiding van warm en koue kos.
Spanbestuur agter in die kombuis, maar ook bereid om voor in die restaurant uit te help indien nodig.
Voorraadhantering, verwerking en tel van voorraad; voorkoming van verliese.
Doen administrasie en hou alles altyd op datum.
Verseker dat resepte en voorbereiding volgens standaard gedoen word.
Handhaaf netheid en orde in die kombuis.
✅ Vereistes:
Minimum 2+ jaar ervaring in ’n soortgelyke bestuursrol in ’n restaurant se agterhuis.
Sterk leierskapsvaardighede en die vermoë om respek van jou span te wen.
Hands-on ervaring met beide warm en koue kos.
Sterk admin- en organisasievermoë.
Kennis van POS-stelsels (bv. Pilot-POS) is ’n voordeel.
Vaardig in Microsoft Office en goeie e-poskommunikasie.
