Business Support & Operations Assistant

Our client is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy, and highly organized Business Support & Operations Assistant to support their daily administrative and operational functions. This role is vital in ensuring efficient processes, coordinating projects, and assisting the team in achieving strategic goals.

📍 Location: Sandton, Johannesburg
💰 Salary: R10 000 – R15 000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.

  • Prepare professional documents, reports, presentations, and emails.

  • Maintain both digital and physical filing systems.

  • Draft meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Operational Support

  • Implement and optimize internal processes and workflows.

  • Monitor task progress, manage timelines, and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are completed.

  • Support onboarding of new team members and grant access to required systems.

Technology & Systems Administration

  • Effectively use Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

  • Assist with the setup and administration of new digital tools such as CRMs, project management platforms, and helpdesk systems.

  • Handle basic IT issues and coordinate with technical support when necessary.

Project Management

  • Coordinate small to medium-sized projects from initiation to completion.

  • Track progress and report on milestones and risks.

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure team alignment.

General Office & Team Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external inquiries.

  • Manage office supplies, inventory, and logistics.

  • Assist with team activities, meetings, and company events.

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate

  • Experience in administration, operational support, or project coordination.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365.

  • High computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-driven work ethic.

  • Confidentiality and professionalism are essential.

  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with platforms such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and process automation tools.

  • Background in supporting high-performance teams.

Administratiewe Ondersteuning

  • Bestuur kalenders, vergaderings, afsprake en reisreëlings.

  • Berei professionele dokumente, verslae, aanbiedings en e-posse voor.

  • Handhaaf digitale en fisiese lêerstelsels.

  • Stel agendas op, neem notules en volg op aksie-items.

Operasionele Ondersteuning

  • Implementeer en optimaliseer interne prosesse en werkvloeie.

  • Monitor taakvordering, bestuur tydlyne en verseker sperdatums word gehaal.

  • Volg op met belanghebbendes oor projeklewerings.

  • Ondersteun aan boord neem van nuwe spanlede en hul toegang tot stelsels.

 Tegnologie & Stelseladministrasie

  • Gebruik Microsoft 365-suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) effektief.

  • Help met nuwe digitale platforms soos CRM’s, projekbestuur en helpdeskstelsels.

  • Hanteer basiese IT-kwessies en kommunikeer met tegniese ondersteuning.

Projekbestuur

  • Koördineer klein tot medium-grootte projekte van begin tot voltooiing.

  • Monitor vordering en rapporteer oor mylpale en risiko’s.

  • Hou projekdokumentasie op datum en verseker spanbelyning.

  • Optree as eerste kontakpunt vir interne en eksterne navrae.

  • Hanteer kantoorbenodigdhede, voorraad en logistiek.

  • Ondersteun by spanaktiwiteite, vergaderings en geleenthede.

Vereistes

  • Matrieksertifkaat
