Agricultural Technician – Junior Management

Our client is looking for an Agricultural Technician – Junior Management to assist with the construction, maintenance, and servicing of agricultural equipment. This position is ideal for a dynamic individual with technical skills and a passion for agriculture.

📍 Location: Centurion
💰 Salary: R18,000 - R25,000 (depending on experience)
🕒 Working Hours: 7:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
🚗 Available Position: 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction and maintenance of agricultural planters.

  • Fieldwork on agricultural equipment.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients on the farm, facilitating service and repairs.

  • Manage mechanical repairs of agricultural equipment on the farm and in the factory.

  • Communicate with clients and build long-term relationships.

  • Regular fieldwork, including outdoor work during planting and service seasons.

Job Requirements:

  • Matric certificate.

  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical repairs or farm work on a seed farm.

  • Own transport to work.

  • Code 8 driver’s license (required).

  • Code 10 driver’s license with PDP preferred.

  • Any auto electrical / technical experience will be an advantage.

  • Must be willing to work outdoors during the planting and service season on weekdays.

  • Must not reside further than 50 km from the workplace.

  • Must be willing to travel for work.

  • Willing to work outdoors, especially during planting and service seasons.

Hoofverantwoordelikhede:

  • Bou en instandhouding van landbouplanters.

  • Veldwerk op landbou toerusting.

  • Instaan as die eerste kontakpunt vir kliënte op plaas en die fasilitering van diens en herstelwerk.

  • Bestuur van meganiese herstelwerk van landbou toerusting op plaas en in fabriek.

  • Kommunikasie met kliënte en die bou van langtermynverhoudings.

  • Gereelde werk in die veld, insluitend buitelug werk tydens plant- en diens seisoene.

Pos Vereistes:

  • Matriek sertifikaat.

  • Minstens 5 jaar ondervinding in meganiese herstelwerk of plaaswerk op 'n saaiplaas.

  • Eie vervoer na werk.

  • Kode 8 bestuurderslisensie (vereiste).

  • Kode 10 bestuurderslisensie met PDP voordelig.

  • Enige auto elektriese / tegniese ondervinding sal voorkeur geniet.

  • Moet bereid wees om in die plant- en diens seisoen in weeksdae buitestedig te wees.

  • Moet nie meer as 50 km van die werkplek wees nie.

  • Moet bereid wees om te reis vir werk

Karaktereienskappe:

  • Sterk menseverhoudingsvaardighede.

  • Vermoë om effektief met kliënte te kommunikeer en die beste dienste te lewer.

  • Oop vir indiensopleiding.

  • Bereid wees om buitelug werk te doen, veral gedurende plant- en diens seisoene.
