💼Fire Detection & CCTV Technician

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Fire Detection & CCTV Technician to join their technical team. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong fault-finding abilities and proven experience in both fire detection and CCTV systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, maintenance, commissioning, and ensuring full compliance with industry standards.

📍Location: Paarl,Western Cape
💰Salary: R15 000 – R16 000
🕰️Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00 (Call outs may be applicable after hours)

Key Responsibilities:

· Install & commission fire detection systems in accordance with SANS
· Install & configure CCTV systems
· Conduct servicing and preventative maintenance
· Complete job cards, test sheets & compliance documentation
· Maintain neat and professional installations
· Represent the company professionally on all sites
· Maintain company tools, vehicle and equipment

Experience required:

Minimum 3-5 years' Fire Detection Experience:
· Installation, testing & commissioning of addressable systems
· Experience with Ziton, Technoswitch or similar panels
· Knowledge of SANS 10139
· Fault finding & diagnostics
· Beam detection systems
· Aspirating systems is advantageous
· Panel programming & I/O mapping
· Understanding of fire suppression interfacing is advantageous

Minimum 2 years' CCTV Experience:
· Installation of IP & analogue camera systems
· NVR/DVR setup & configuration
· Network configuration (IP addressing, remote viewing setup)
· Camera focusing & positioning
· Fault finding on camera systems
· Client training on CCTV systems
· Experience with Hikvision or similar systems is advantageous.

Job Requirements:
· Matric
· SAQCC Registration – Level 2 or Level 3 (Valid & Current)
· Valid Driver’s License
· Computer literate (reporting, email, system configuration, documentation)
· Knowledge of SANS 10139

Hoof Verantwoordelikhede:
· Installeer en stel brandopsporingstelsels in werking volgens SANS
· Installeer en konfigureer CCTV-stelsels
· Voer dienswerk en voorkomende instandhouding uit
· Voltooi werkkaarte, toetsblaaie en nakomingsdokumentasie
· Handhaaf netjiese en professionele installasies
· Verteenwoordig die maatskappy professioneel op alle terreine
· Onderhou maatskappy gereedskap, voertuig en toerusting

Ondervinding wat jy benodig:

Minimum 3-5 jaar in Brandopsporing:
· Installasie, toetsing en inbedryfstelling van adresseerbare stelsels
· Ondervinding met Ziton, Technoswitch of soortgelyke panele
· Kennis van SANS 10139
· Foutopsporing en diagnostiek
· Straaldeteksie-stelsels
· Aspirerende rookopspoor stelsels is voordelig
· Paneelprogrammering en I/O-kartering
· Begrip van brandonderdrukkingskoppelvlakke is voordelig

Minimum 2 jaar in CCTV Instellasie:
· Installasie van IP- en analoogkamerastelsels
· NVR/DVR opstelling en konfigurasie
· Netwerkkonfigurasie (IP-adressering, afstandbesigtiging opstelling)
· Kamerafokus en posisionering
· Foutopsporing op kamerastelsels
· Opleiding van kliënte op CCTV-stelsels
· Ondervinding met Hikvision of soortgelyke stelsels is voordelig

Pos Vereistes:
· Matriek
· SAQCC Registrasie – Vlak 2 of Vlak 3 (Geldig & Huidig)
· Geldige bestuurslisensie
· Rekenaargeletterd (verslagdoening, e-pos, stelselkonfigurasie, dokumentasie)
· Skoon kriminele rekord
· Kennis van SANS 10139
