💼Workshop Administrator

Our client is seeking an experienced and business-minded Workshop Administrator to manage the administrative and client-facing functions of a busy automotive workshop. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of workshop operations, service advisory processes, and customer engagement, acting as a key link between customers, technicians, and management.

This role requires accountability, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.

About the Company

Our client is a well-established automotive service and repair centre based in Boksburg, specialising in professional vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs. The business operates in a fast-paced workshop environment and is committed to quality workmanship, technical accuracy, and excellent customer service.


📍Location: Boksburg, Johannesburg
💰Salary: R18 000 – R25 000 (Negotiable, based on experience)
📅Start Date: As soon as possible
🪑Seats Available: 1
🕰️Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00

  • Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:00


Key Responsibilities:

  • Full administration of workshop operations

  • Acting as a Service Advisor and primary customer contact

  • Managing service bookings and repair check-ins

  • Ongoing customer liaison and follow-up throughout the repair process

  • Handling incoming phone calls and customer enquiries

  • Assessing customer concerns and assisting technicians with accurate diagnostics

  • Managing timelines, quotations, approvals, and communication

  • Ensuring compliance with franchise terms and conditions

  • Supporting customers through the full service and repair lifecycle

  • Workshop- and office-based administration

  • Taking full responsibility and accountability for service delivery and customer satisfaction


Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • Minimum 3–6 years’ relevant experience

  • Previous experience in workshop management or service advising

  • Proven track record of managing a profitable workshop

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Willing to work Saturdays

  • Ability to work under pressure with strong leadership and delegation skills

  • Werkswinkel- en kantoor-gebaseerde administrasie

Vereistes:

  • Matriek (Graad 12)

  • Minimum 3–6 jaar relevante ondervinding

  • Vorige ondervinding as diensadviseur of werkswinkelbestuurder

  • Bewese rekord in die bestuur van ’n winsgewende werkswinkel

  • Geldige bestuurslisensie

  • Rekenaarvaardig (MS Word, Excel en Outlook)

  • Bereid om Saterdae te werk
