💼Group Financial Accountant

Our client is looking for a professional and experienced Group Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role is essential in managing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting group-level financial operations within a corporate environment.

More About The Company:
Our client operates within a professional corporate financial environment, focusing on financial integrity, compliance, and high-level financial management across business operations.

📍Location: Cape Town (Candidates must already reside in Cape Town – relocation candidates will not be considered)
💰Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
💼 Benefits: Retirement annuity of R500 per month after 1 year
🕰️Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30 (Overtime required during month-end, audit periods, and deadlines)

Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Processing: Process financial transactions and prepare management reports.
· Debtors Management: Create invoices, send statements, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
· Payments: Prepare payments and distribute proof of payments.
· Finance Administration: Manage the finance mailbox and financial records.
· Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register.
· VAT & Tax: Prepare monthly VAT returns and reconciliations.
· Intercompany Reconciliations: Reconcile intercompany balances at month-end.
· Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits.
· Reporting & Analysis: Report financial discrepancies and support financial reporting.
· Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements:
· Degree in Accounting or Finance (Compulsory).
· SAIPA/SAICA qualification advantageous.
· 2–4 years financial experience OR completed SAIPA/SAICA articles (Compulsory).
· Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Pastel & Xero).

Hoof Verantwoordelikhede:
· Finansiële Verwerking: Verwerk finansiële transaksies en berei bestuursverslae voor.
· Debiteurebestuur: Skep fakture, stuur state en volg uitstaande rekeninge op.
· Betalings: Berei betalings voor en versprei bewys van betalings.
· Finansiële Administrasie: Bestuur die finansiële e-posbus en finansiële rekords.
· Batebestuur: Hou die vaste bate register by.
· BTW & Belasting: Berei maandelikse BTW-opgawes en rekonsiliasies voor.
· Intermaatskappy Rekonsiliasies: Rekonsilieer intermaatskappy balanse aan die einde van die maand.
· Ouditondersteuning: Help met interne en eksterne oudits.
· Verslagdoening & Analise: Rapporteer finansiële afwykings en ondersteun verslagdoening.
· Deurlopende Verbetering: Stel verbeterings voor om doeltreffendheid en akkuraatheid te verbeter.

Pos Vereistes:
· Graad in Rekeningkunde of Finansies (Verpligtend).
· SAIPA/SAICA-kwalifikasie voordelig.
· 2–4 jaar finansiële ondervinding OF voltooide SAIPA/SAICA klerkskap (Verpligtend).
· Sterk kennis van MS Excel en rekeningkundige sagteware (Pastel & Xero).
