IT Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Specialist to provide first-line support within their organization. This role is critical in assisting users, issue resolving quickly and professionally, and facilitating effective communication between clients, staff, and developers.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT and software support requests.

  • Receive, triage, and manage user and client inquiries.

  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot and resolve common software, hardware, and network issues.

  • Escalate complex issues to developers and ensure clear client feedback.

  • Document requests, actions, and resolutions accurately.

  • Assist with onboarding and device setup for new users.

  • Monitor support metrics and identify recurring issues.

  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to enhance support processes.

🎓 Requirements

  • Matric (Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT is advantageous).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Strong MS Excel skills (Odoo experience a plus).

  • Proven IT support, helpdesk, or technical support experience.

  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Linux and networking basics.

  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

🔑 Hoofverantwoordelikhede

  • Optree as eerste kontakpunt vir alle IT- en sagteware-ondersteuningsversoeke.

  • Ontvang, prioriseer en hanteer kliënt- en gebruikersnavrae.

  • Foutopsporing en oplossing van algemene sagteware-, hardeware- en netwerkprobleme.

  • Delegeer komplekse probleme na ontwikkelaars en verseker duidelike terugvoer aan kliënte.

  • Dokumenteer versoeke, stappe en oplossings akkuraat.

  • Help met gebruikers-onboarding en toestelopstellings.

  • Monitor ondersteuningsverslae en identifiseer herhalende probleme.

  • Werk saam met die IT-span om ondersteuningsprosesse en -hulpmiddels te verbeter.

🎓 Vereistes

  • Matriek (’n graad in Rekenaarwetenskap/IT voordelig).

  • Minimum 3 jaar ervaring in ’n soortgelyke rol.

  • Sterk kennis van MS Excel (ervaring met Odoo is ’n pluspunt).

  • Ervaring in IT-ondersteuning, helpdesk of tegniese ondersteuning.

  • Kennis van Windows, macOS, Linux en netwerke.

  • Sterk probleemoplossingsvermoë en aandag aan detail.

  • Uitstekende kommunikasievaardighede.

  • Kan onafhanklik en in ’n span werk.
