Are you an experienced logistics professional with a background in engineering or manufacturing environments? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our team in Rosslyn. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless, timely, and cost-effective flow of materials and equipment critical to our engineering and production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the shipment of materials, components, and finished products for engineering projects.
- Track inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of critical parts to meet production timelines.
- Liaise with engineering and procurement teams to align logistics planning with project requirements.
- Schedule and oversee inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and freight carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
- Proactively resolve shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and documentation issues.
- Optimize logistics processes, shipping routes, and delivery methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with customs, safety, and industry regulations.
- Use ERP/logistics systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage inventory and logistics operations.
- Generate detailed logistics reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise logistics staff and ensure team alignment with departmental goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
- Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain best practices.
- Familiarity with technical materials, engineering components, and manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar); SAGE experience is a bonus.
- Excellent planning, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills.
- Leadership qualities with experience in staff supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of Johannesburg and surrounding areas for delivery planning.
Additional Details
- You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Experience with technical material handling is a strong advantage.
- Candidates must have their own vehicle – this is a critical requirement for the role

Ons is op soek na ’n doelgerigte en georganiseerde Logistieke Toesighouer om by ons span in Rosslyn aan te sluit. Jy sal ’n sleutelrol speel in die doeltreffende, tydige en koste-effektiewe vloei van materiaal en toerusting wat noodsaaklik is vir ons ingenieurs- en produksieprojekte.
- Koördineer aflewering van materiaal, komponente en voltooide produkte vir ingenieursprojekte.
- Monitor voorraadvlakke en verseker tydige aflewering van kritieke onderdele volgens produksieskedules.
- Werk nou saam met ingenieurs- en verkrygingspanne om logistiek te belyn met projektydlyne.
- Beplan en monitor in- en uitgaande aflewering saam met verskaffers en vervoerverskaffers.
- Hou akkurate rekords van aflewerings, ontvangs en voorraad.
- Los aflewrings vertraagings, voorraadprobleme en dokumentasiedispute vinnig op.
- Optimaliseer roetes en afleweringsmetodes om doeltreffendheid te verbeter en koste te verminder.
- Verseker nakoming van veiligheids-, voorskrifte vir doeane en industrieë
- Gebruik ERP-stelsels (bv. SAP, Oracle) vir logistieke en voorraadopsporing.
- Stel logistieke verslae op en lewer insette tot prosesverbetering.
- Bestuur logistieke personeel en verseker spanprestasie volgens afdelingsdoelwitte.
Vereistes
- Minimum 2 jaar ondervinding in logistiek of voorsieningsketting, verkieslik in ’n ingenieurs- of vervaardigingsektor.
- Diploma of hoër kwalifikasie in Logistiek, Voorsieningsketting of ’n verwante veld.
- Goeie begrip van logistieke prosesse en voorsieningsketting beginsels.
- Kennis van tegniese materiaal en ingenieurskomponente is ’n voordeel.
- Ervaring met ERP-stelsels soos SAP of Oracle; SAGE-ervaring is ’n bonus.
- Uitstekende beplannings-, multi-taak- en probleemoplossingsvaardighede.
- Sterk kommunikasie- en verskafferbestuursvaardighede.
- Moet personeel kan bestuur.
- Goeie kennis van Johannesburg en omliggende gebiede vir afleweringsbeplanning.
